Henk Berg is a family owned and run Australian company (ABN 19804326401). We are affiliated with the Tasmanian Woolen Company, which supplies our natural fibre products and Berg Agencies, our overseas distribution business. For more information please visit the About us page.

Henk Berg distributes products to exclusive customers worldwide. If you are

Product origins
Due to growing demand, Henk Berg works with some of the world's finest
leather craftsmen, to make our exclusive leather bags. All our leather products
are designed by Henk and handcrafted from vegetable tanned hides. Dyeing,
oiling, waxing and hand finishing are still done personally by Henk in Tasmania,
while our workshops both locally and overseas cut and assemble the product,
supporting our craftspeople and providing our customers with a unique and
affordable product.

Henk Berg does its best to make sure you'll be satisfied with every purchase.
However, should any item fall short of your expectations, by all means return it
to us unused upon receipt. Just enclose the packing slip or receipt included
with your order and we will send you a prompt refund or replacement, whichever
you prefer.
Henk Berg products are made to ensure satisfaction and service for the natural
life of the product. If, during its lifetime, your item should require repair,
we may be able to offer a repair service for the product. Please

Returns Policy
Henk Berg is glad to refund or exchange any
faulty or new and unused merchandise. All returns must be sent to our
Returns department.
Henk Berg will not refund the shipping costs of
shipping the product to you as these will have been incurred in sending the
product to you.
If you are returning an item, please be sure to ship the
item by insured, traceable mail. This service is offered by UPS, USPS, and other
carriers. Please include a note with your address and daytime phone number along
with your instructions and a copy of your sales receipt or packing slip, and

A credit will only be made to a customer after the returned product is
received by us in accordance with the above guidelines.
Henk Berg reserves the right to modify its exchange

Repairs
If, during its lifetime, your item should require repair, we may be able to
offer a repair service for the product. Please

Leather Care and Treatment
Like vintage wine, Henk Berg leather becomes more beautiful with age. To
retain its beauty and other desirable qualities, our leather requires frequent
conditioning to replace the natural lubricants lost during normal use. With
proper care a Henk Berg product will last a lifetime.
Follow these simple steps to keep your Henk Berg leather bag looking great.
- Apply a good leather cream 2-3 times per year. Apply the cream before you
use the item and every season thereafter. The cream will remove soil and leave
natural oils intact. It will also condition the leather.
- Keep the bag away from direct sunlight and direct heat sources.
- Every 4-6 months clean the bag with a cloth to remove dust and apply a
silicon based sealant. You should always test the item first. A sealant will
darken the leather slightly.
- To remove dust, rub very gently using a moist, well wrung out cloth;
refrain from vigorous rubbing which could damage the leathers delicate natural
coating.
- To remove stains, blot the spot immediately before it has a chance to dry.
Do not rub the area.
- Keep your Henk Berg bag away from excessive heat and humidity.
- If leather gets wet let it air dry.
Henk Berg uses and recommends leather care products by
Renapur.
Note: Use of saddle soap is not recommended, as it may remove the natural
oils.
Payments
Pricing
For your information, we provide a currency conversion facility for you.
This currency conversion can be selected from a drop down menu available on our
product web site pages. The currency conversion is based upon the currency rates
at the close of business on the previous business day. Please note: Credit cards
are charged for the Australian dollar price of your order, this price will be
based upon the currency rates at the close of business on the previous business
day.
Payment methods
We only accept payment for orders by Visa, MasterCard and American Express
credit cards. You may place your order through our web site and either include
your credit card details in the order form or request that we telephone you to
receive your credit card details. If you would like to order over the phone or using a different payment method please
contact us.
Delivery Address
We will only accept your order if the delivery address of the product is the
same as the address of the credit card holder. If you require your order to be
shipped to a different address (other than your work office) you should include
the reason for the different delivery address in the comments section of the
order form.
We will not deliver products to post office boxes (unless you notify us of
special circumstances).

Charging of Credit Cards
All credit cards are debited for the purchase price and shipping price (if
applicable) in Australian dollars. The secondary currencies appearing on our web site (such as USD or Euro), are
for your convenience and information purposes only. Henk Berg do not
guarantee that the currency conversions appearing on our web site are accurate
as at the time of viewing and do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for
the accuracy of the currency conversions appearing on the site.
When an international order is placed (order from outside Australia), the
relevant currency conversion will be performed by your credit card issuing bank
as at the time of debiting of your credit card by your credit card issuing bank.
Henk Berg take no responsibility for the timing or currency conversion
rate used by the credit card issuing bank.
We will manually check every credit card order with the credit card issuing
bank to ensure that all details given are accurate. Henk Berg reserve the
right to refuse to accept any orders that it considers to be suspicious.
There are some countries that fall outside our credit card fraud checking
network. For orders from those countries we may require that proof of ownership
of a credit card be supplied to us. For those orders, we may require that the
customer fax to us a photocopy of their credit card and driver's licence for
proof of identity and ownership of the credit card. We may also request that a
purchaser supply their security credit card number. This will only be required
if expressly requested by us.
Orders
Order Process
When you order, we will send you an e-mail confirming your order within a few hours of
placement of the order.
When you receive your order will depend upon:
- your credit card issuing bank approving your purchase;
- and your chosen delivery method.
All credit cards must be approved before shipment - we will contact you if
there are any problems. When your credit card is approved we will ship the product to you within 48

Complete Information and Suspicious Orders
Henk Berg reserves the right to refuse any order if it believes that
it is fraudulent or suspicious in nature. No order will be accepted unless complete information is provided including
full addresses, e-mail address and phone numbers. You must include your e-mail address in your order otherwise we will not be
able to contact you.

"View my orders" from the "My

Stock Availability
If due to high demand an ordered product is not in stock, this will be
indicated at checkout. If the customer wishes to proceed with the order, Henk
Berg will arrange for the manufacture of that product. We will e-mail you to
notify you of the anticipated manufacture timeframe.
All Henk Berg products are handmade, therefore, the manufacture time for some products may range from
a few days to approximately
6 weeks depending upon the product.

Import Duties
For all international orders, you may be subject to import duties and taxes,
which are levied once the product reaches your country. All additional charges
for customs clearance, import duties and taxes are payable by you. Such charges
are not included in the purchase price of our products as we have no control
over those charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary
widely between countries. You should contact your local customs office for
further information. We will not be responsible for the payment of any customs
duties under any circumstances. When ordering from us you agree to pay any
import duties which may be imposed by your country's government.

information gathering and dissemination practices for this web site.
Customer Details
Our web site uses customer registration and order forms for customers to
order products. Through these forms we collect contact information (such as e-mail addresses), and
financial information (such as credit card numbers). All information received is treated with strict confidence.
Contact information from the order form is used to ship orders to the
customer. The customer's contact information is also used to send Henk Berg promotional material (if the customer requests such promotional
information) and to get in touch with the customer during the course of the
transaction.
